Toro Snow Blower Recall | Amputation Risk

RECALL : Toro Power Max 826 OHAE, Model 37802

On February 17, 2021 Toro officially recalled one of their snow blower models because it has been discovered that the auger may fail to disengage which can directly cause amputation to the user. Thankfully there have been no reports of amputation or of any injuries BUT there have been FIVE reported cases of the auger failing to disengage.

If you own a Toro snow blower, please double-check the actual model to see if its the same as the one recalled or confirm that you do not own the Toro snow blower recalled. If you do have the recalled model then proceed through this recall information and follow instructions. Obviously, DO NOT USE the snow blower under any circumstances. Call Toro and have it repaired by an authorized dealer.

  • Manufacturer: The Toro Company, of Bloomington, Minn.

Hazard: The auger can fail to disengage when the control lever is released, posing an amputation hazard.

►Remedy: Requires Immediate Repair. Do NOT USE until this has been fixed by an authorized dealer or the snow blower is replaced by a new updated version.
